A LITTLE BACKGROUND
KASBAH was founded by a group of parents of children with Spina Bifida and/or Hydrocephalus in 1966 with a desire to help other families in circumstances similar to their own. All of the support services are now open to any person with a physical and/or learning disabilities, including support for the parents, carers and families.

Progress in East Kent
To develop a positive presence in East Kent, become more involved in local networks, and ascertain local trends and needs KASBAH have teamed up with The Strode Park Foundation in Herne.
Strode Park have provided KASBAH with a delightful office within its Day Centre and are also actively promoting the Advisor Service within the local community.
KASBAH has this great opportunity for at least one year and we would really like to make the most of it, so please do contact KASBAH if we can assist you in any way to improve your life and/or help in reaching your personal goals and aspirations.

Seabrooke House News
We would like to thank everyone who came to 'Come Dine with Us' this year. Once again we had a very good response and were fully booked everyday!
Funds from this event and the Summer Fete have paid for our garage to be converted into a Gym. We are very fortunate to have Jim Allison as a Life Skills Coach, as he is also a dab hand at DIY and has been integral to the conversion. We plan to have a grand opening in February and could not have accomplished this without his and everybody else's support.
We plan to have a culinary culture day every month; our first features France. Trainees will be preparing a three course French meal and sampling fine wines in our dining room - filled with French flags and the aroma of garlic! After lunch the trainees will have a choice of painting a Monet or attempting some French phrases!

KASBAH's Rochester Road Project opens
After lots of hard work and determination, our Rochester Road house officially opened on 7th November. It is a beautiful property and will be a lovely place to live in a shared and supported environment.
